ALKALI METAL:

 

a.      LITHIUM:

  •        It is used for Anti Depression.
  •        It is mainly used in manufacturing batteries.

 

 

                                                      

b.     SODIUM :

        

  •        It is used in street lamp.
  •       It is mainly used as table salt.

 

c.      POTASSIUM:

  •        It is used in manufacturing fertilizer, soap.

 

d.     RUBIDIUM:

  •         It is used in manufacturing atomic clock.

 

e.      FRANCIUM:

  •        It is used as radioactive element.

 

 

 

 ALKALINE EARTH MEATL

 

a.      BERLLIUM:

  •        It is used as mirror in telescope.

 

b.     MAGNESIUM:

  •        It is used as alloy in wheel.

 

c.      CALCIUM:

  •         It is present in bone.

 

d.     STRONTIUM:

  •        It is used in treating osteoporosis.

 

e.      BARIUM:

  •        It is used in production of Rat poison.
  •       It is used in manufacturing glassmaking.

 

f.       RADIUM:

  •        It is used to make glow in the dark paint.
